It is heartening to know 54th Annual Conference of the Indian Academy of Cytologists, CYTOCON2024 is being held in the historic “blue” city of Jodhpur, located in the culturally rich state of Rajasthan. This conference will offer a yet another academic treat in the form of guest lectures from world-renowned experts and speakers, prestigious orations, slide seminars, and hands-on workshops, which would be informative and educative for a comprehensive experience in cytopathology that presently constitutes a distinguished-level in diagnostics. The “add-ons” during the CYTOCON2024 experience include networking with colleagues from other Institutes and places, possibilities for the opportunity to collaborate in cytopathology, poster and platform presentations to showcase and share one’s original work and simultaneously experience the rich cultural heritage of Jodhpur and the state of Rajasthan. The organizing team led by Dr. Poonam Elhence is working hard to make this a successful and a memorable event. It is with immense pleasure and humility that I welcome each one of you to CYTOCON 2024, the 54th Annual Conference of the Indian Academy of Cytologists, hosted by the Department of Pathology & Lab Medicine at AIIMS Jodhpur. This event, to be held from November 15th to 18th, promises to be a four-day academic feast, celebrating the intricacies and advancements in Cytopathology.
We have curated an exciting program featuring one-on-one interactions with eminent Cytopathologists of both national and international repute. The conference begins with a Pre-Conference CME on "Thyroid FNAC -Grassroots to Chandrayaan III (TBSRTC 2023)," a full day of lectures addressing the complexities and challenges in Thyroid Gland Cytology.
In addition to our engaging plenary sessions, we are delighted to offer post-conference workshops providing didactic lectures, slide sessions and hands-on training in essential areas such as Cervical Cytology, Breast Cytology, Cell Block Preparation, and Ancillary Techniques. These workshops are designed to be interactive and ensure a quality learning experience.
The National Quiz in Cytology promises to be an exciting intellectual challenge, fostering learning and exchange of knowledge. Moreover, the unique sessions on "Out of the Box Thinking" will explore the artistic and creative side of all interested in Cytopathology, featuring Poetry in Cytopathology, Cytology Pareidolia, and Pathology Riddles.
